Declaring relevant relationships
Authors, reviewers and editors should disclose financial, professional or personal relationships that may influence their participation or raise reasonable doubts about their impartiality.
Managing disclosures
A relationship does not automatically imply exclusion. Assessment should consider the context and, where necessary, allow a review or editorial decision to be reassigned.
Authors should identify interests relevant to interpreting their work. Reviewers should disclose any circumstances limiting their independence before accepting the task.
Awaiting approval: the disclosure channel, responsibilities and management procedure.
