Reporting concerns

If a possible error is identified in a publication, the report to the editorial team should identify the article, indicate the affected passage and provide an explanation and any available evidence.

Proposed procedure

The proposal is to examine each report and seek any necessary clarification from the parties involved. The response should be proportionate: a minor erratum, a correction affecting interpretation or, where the reliability of the work is compromised, a possible retraction.

Transparency of the record

Substantial changes should be documented through dated notices linked to the article, preserving the traceability of the scholarly record.
